About James Haupert

James Haupert has been delivering innovative and results oriented management consulting and organizational development services to a diverse base of client organizations since 1981.  For over 30 years, his consulting firm has supported large Fortune 500 and 1000 clients, mid-sized companies, as well as venture capital start ups across multiple industries and business sectors.  This allows his firm to innovate and cross pollinate the “best practices” from multiple industries.  James helps his clients achieve consistent results by supporting them through well crafted strategy, a rigorous attention to fundamental business principles, the deployment of well thought out processes, and the appropriate metrics to drive business initiatives.  He believes that discipline is the enabler of creativity and innovation.

James also enjoys living life by exercising the creative side.  He is an accomplished cook and has appeared on the popular ValleyDish cooking show on Channel 12 in Phoenix.  The dishes he likes most to prepare are those that start with the best ingredients but are a fusion of several cuisines.  He has decorated his home with art and furniture purchased in traveling around the world from Bali, China, Italy, Mexico and Kashmir.

Prior to starting his own firm, he had been Director of development for Amdahl, a Fortune 500 mainframe computer company and training director for Hughes Airwest, a San Francisco based airline.  He was an instructor in the Graduate School of Engineering at Santa Clara University for 12 years teaching courses on leadership and managing the software development process.  He has also been a guest lecturer at Stanford University in the Graduate School of Education and is a frequent contributor to business publications.  He has worked in the San Francisco Bay Area/Silicon Valley for over 35 years.  He currently resides in Scottsdale Arizona.

Jim founded the learning company, Knowledge Source™, in 2003 with the desire to offer clients the most unique and interactive executive and management programs.  He has an MBA from Arizona State University in management systems and a BS in educational psychology and Asian Studies.
